Family Portraits

When I was growing up, my favorite use of free-time was exploring my parents’ and grandparents’ old photo albums. I wanted to know how they lived before me, how they looked, whether they changed with years or not. I wanted to know if I might look like my mom when I grow up. Will I be as beautiful as she is?

Family moments are precious. When the years go by, memory is what we have to rely on. Unfortunately, memories tend to fade or become even non-existent. My goal as a photographer is to make memories tangible and capture people’s families as they are, in this moment. No unnatural posing, no pretense, no insincere smiles. Just life as it exists in the now.
